Are you a detail-oriented professional with strong listening and transcription skills? Welo Data is launching an exciting project and is seeking talented individuals to join our team as Transcribers. This role involves working remotely to transcribe audio recordings with precision, while adding valuable context through tagging and timestamps. If you have a passion for language, cultural nuance, and accuracy, we’d love to hear from you!

What you will do:

• Listen to audio recordings in the target language and transcribe content with a high level of accuracy.
• Add timestamps to transcriptions to ensure alignment with the audio.
• Tag recordings with emotions, context, and other relevant metadata to enhance project deliverables.
• Ensure that transcriptions are culturally relevant and reflect the intended tone and meaning of the recordings.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure consistency and quality across all transcriptions.
• Meet project deadlines and adhere to specific transcription guidelines and formatting requirements.

Project Details

Commitment: Flexible, with a minimum of 10-15 hours per week (up to 20 hours based on availability).

Job Type: Freelance/Independent Contract

Location: Remote

Language: Japanese

Pay Rate: $35/hour

Requirements:

-Native or professional proficiency (C1/C2 level) in the target language and strong English proficiency.

-Prior experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic projects is highly desirable.

-Ability to understand and differentiate regional dialects, emotions, and contextual cues in audio recordings.

-Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to deliver error-free transcriptions.

-Familiarity with transcription tools/software and the ability to work with timestamps and tagging.

-Availability to commit to deadlines and deliver consistent, high-quality work.
