Overview
Handshake is recruiting STEM professors and postdocs to contribute to an AI research project. In this program, you’ll train AI models to read, interpret, and summarize peer-reviewed scientific literature. The Handshake AI program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different areas of expertise.

The position is remote and asynchronous - work independently from wherever you are.Flexible hours and the ability to work remotely, with no minimum commitment to hours.Project work includes, but is not limited to, training AI models to read, interpret, and summarize peer-reviewed scientific literature.Learn new skills while contributing to the changing world of AI across various domains.Placement into a project will be dependent on project availability.
Qualifications
Professors and postdocs who graduated from, or are working at, an R1 institution, and have a strong scholarly influenceMust be conducting research that specializes in one of the following fields of study: MathematicsPhysicsAstronomyElectrical EngineeringChemistryBiologyMedicineAble to participate in primarily asynchronous work in partnership with leading AI labs

F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects on Handshake AI. Work with your Designated School Official to determine your eligibility. If your school requires a CPT course, Handshake AI may not meet your school’s requirements. STEM OPT is not supported.
