Are you an experienced software architect looking to apply your expertise in a novel and impactful way? Do you have 8 to 20 hours per week available alongside your current projects or consulting work?

We are seeking freelance software architects based in the EU or UK to contribute to the development and improvement of advanced AI systems.

What you’ll be doing

We are 10x.team, a platform for fractional and freelance professionals. We partner with leading AI labs to improve large AI systems.

Your role will include:

• Reviewing and refining AI-generated responses and architectural recommendations

• Evaluating outputs for technical accuracy, scalability, maintainability, and real-world applicability

• Drafting realistic software architecture scenarios, including standard industry use cases in system design, integration, optimization, and cloud/native architectures

• Assessing AI reasoning on topics such as software design patterns, system security, microservices, and architectural trade-offs

• Identifying gaps, misinterpretations, or oversimplified architectural analysis

• Creating scenario variations from different architecture stakeholder perspectives—such as technical leads, project managers, or infrastructure specialists

In simple terms:
You will assess and improve AI-generated content to ensure it reflects real-world standards, practices, and architectural reasoning. Your expertise will help enhance the quality of AI systems handling software architecture topics.

Who this is for

You are:

• A software architect, senior developer, or systems engineer

• Based in the EU or UK

• With several years of experience in designing, building, and scaling complex software systems

• Skilled in modern architecture frameworks, tools, and best practices

• Comfortable identifying design flaws, scalability issues, or unrealistic technical assumptions

• Available 8 to 20 hours per week

• Able to start in the coming weeks

This role is fully remote and highly flexible—perfect alongside your existing commitments.
