DataLens Africa is hiring a Project Manager to oversee AI data operations — coordinating annotation projects, managing contributor teams, and ensuring delivery timelines and quality standards are met.

At DataLens Africa, we build the high-quality language data that teaches AI to read, write, reason, and respond in African languages. We work with machine learning researchers, global health organisations, telcos, and foundation model companies who need data that reflects how people actually speak.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage end-to-end data annotation projects
• Coordinate teams of remote annotators and reviewers
• Set and track project milestones, deadlines, and quality KPIs
• Communicate with clients on project progress and deliverables
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the annotation pipeline
• Develop SOPs and training materials for new projects

Requirements

• 2+ years of project management experience (data/AI/tech preferred)
• Experience managing remote or distributed teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with data annotation or AI training workflows is a plus
• Based in Nigeria (remote)
