Producer and Director Expert

AfterQuery is seeking Producer and Director Experts to create and refine media production challenges for training AI models. In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate production scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret and apply complex film, television, and theater production principles, ensuring that our models can navigate real-world creative decision-making, project management, and storytelling with precision and practical insight. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between proven production practice and innovative AI solutions, making a tangible impact on the future of media technology.

Commitment: 10 hours/week | Pay: $50 - $100/hr | Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality production questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as script interpretation, shot composition, talent direction, production scheduling, budget management, creative problem-solving, post-production workflows, and more.
• Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to production best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with a team of media production and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Theater, Media Production, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience as a producer, director, or in media production leadership with a robust understanding of production workflows and creative processes.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple years of production experience, ideally across diverse formats and genres (film, television, theater, commercials, digital content, etc.).
• Prior involvement in production training, industry guilds/associations, or media technology initiatives.
• Experience with budgeting, crew management, post-production, or distribution is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI or technology-driven production applications is a plus.
