Private Investigator Expert

AfterQuery is seeking Private Investigator Experts to create and refine investigative challenges for training AI models. In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate investigation scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret and apply complex investigative principles, ensuring that our models can navigate real-world case management, evidence gathering, and analytical problem-solving with precision and practical insight. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between proven investigative practice and innovative AI solutions, making a tangible impact on the future of investigative technology.

Commitment: 10 hours/week | Pay: $50 - $100/hr | Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality investigative questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as case assessment, surveillance techniques, evidence collection, interview strategies, research methods, legal compliance, report writing, and more.
• Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to investigative best practices and legal standards.
• Collaborate with a team of investigative and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Forensics, or related field preferred).
• Active private investigator license in good standing and proven experience conducting investigations with a robust understanding of investigative techniques and legal requirements.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple years of investigative experience, ideally across diverse case types (surveillance, background checks, fraud investigations, missing persons, corporate investigations, etc.).
• Prior involvement in investigative training, professional associations, or investigative technology initiatives.
• Background in law enforcement, military intelligence, or specialized investigative certifications is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI or technology-driven investigative applications is a plus.
