About Turing:
Based in San Francisco, California, Turing is the world’s leading research acceleratorfor frontier AI labs and a trusted partner for global enterprises deploying advanced AI systems. Turing supports customers in two ways: first, by accelerating frontier research with high-quality data, advanced training pipelines, plus top AI researchers who specialize in coding, reasoning, STEM, multilinguality, multimodality, and agents; and second, by applying that expertise to help enterprises transform AI from proof of concept into proprietary intelligencewith systems that perform reliably, deliver measurable impact, and drive lasting results on the P&L
Role Overview
The Mathematical Systems & Abstract Reasoning Engineer is responsible for developing advanced reasoning datasets that evaluate and improve the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs). This role involves designing novel mathematical systems, defining custom rules and axioms, and creating rigorous reasoning challenges that require models to interpret definitions, perform symbolic computations, derive properties, and construct logically sound proofs. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in abstract mathematics with exceptional analytical and communication skills to produce self-contained, verifiable, and high-quality evaluation tasks.
