Law Enforcement Supervisor Expert

AfterQuery is seeking Law Enforcement Supervisor Experts to create and refine police leadership challenges for training AI models. In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate supervisory scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret and apply complex law enforcement management principles, ensuring that our models can navigate real-world team leadership, operational decision-making, and community policing situations with precision and practical insight. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between proven law enforcement supervision practice and innovative AI solutions, making a tangible impact on the future of public safety technology.

Commitment: 10 hours/week | Pay: $60 - $115/hr | Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality law enforcement supervision questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as shift management, performance evaluation, tactical decision-making, use of force protocols, community relations, internal investigations, crisis response, and more.
• Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to law enforcement best practices and legal standards.
• Collaborate with a team of law enforcement and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a police or detective supervisor (sergeant, lieutenant, or equivalent rank) with a robust understanding of police operations, personnel management, and law enforcement procedures.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or related field preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple years of law enforcement supervisory experience, ideally across diverse units and operational areas (patrol, investigations, specialized units, etc.).
• Prior involvement in law enforcement training, policy development, or public safety technology initiatives.
• Completion of supervisory or command-level training programs (FBI National Academy, POST supervisory courses, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI or technology-driven law enforcement applications is a plus.
