Industrial Engineering Expert

AfterQuery is seeking Industrial Engineering Experts to create and refine engineering and operations challenges for our AI training modules. In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate industrial engineering scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret and apply complex systems optimization and process improvement principles, ensuring that our models can navigate real-world production, logistics, and efficiency challenges with precision and technical accuracy. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between rigorous industrial engineering practice and innovative AI solutions, making a tangible impact on the future of engineering technology.

Commitment: 20 hours/week | Pay: $75 - $115/hr | Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality industrial engineering questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as process optimization, production planning, facility layout, quality control systems, supply chain design, work measurement, ergonomics, simulation modeling, and more.
• Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to industrial engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with a team of engineering and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited program.
• Proven experience in industrial engineering practice, process improvement, or operations management with a robust understanding of industrial engineering principles and methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple years of industrial engineering experience, ideally across diverse manufacturing, logistics, or service operations environments.
• Prior involvement in engineering publications, standards development, or engineering technology initiatives.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, Lean Six Sigma certification, advanced degree (MS, PhD), or relevant certifications is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI or technology-driven industrial engineering applications is a plus.
