Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Health and Safety Technician - AI trainer, where your real-world expertise in occupational health and safety will directly enhance next-generation AI models. You will leverage your deep industry experience to help build smarter, safer, and more reliable digital tools, playing a pivotal role at the intersection of safety and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and structure data on diverse work environments to support occupational health and safety (OHS) analysis.
  • Implement and evaluate safety programs aimed at mitigating chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic risks for workers.
  • Identify workplace hazards, conduct thorough risk assessments, and recommend actionable safety interventions.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, document findings, and generate detailed reports to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Deliver comprehensive safety training and develop clear communication materials for various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with AI development teams to translate domain-specific knowledge into robust data sets and training materials for machine learning applications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OHS regulations and apply best practices in all aspects of project work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in roles such as Industrial Hygienist, EHS Advisor, Construction Safety Consultant, Safety Trainer, or similar.
  • Proven expertise with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
  • Strong background in incident investigation, reporting, and corrective action planning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and structuring safety-related data for technical or regulatory purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement, evaluate, and improve safety and risk mitigation programs.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent professional certification.
  • Previous experience as an AI trainer or working on AI/data-focused projects in the safety domain.
  • Keen interest in digital transformation and the application of technology in occupational health and safety.
