AfterQuery is seeking Forensic Accountant Experts to create and refine fraud investigation and litigation support challenges for training AI models. In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate forensic accounting scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret and apply complex investigative accounting principles, ensuring that our models can navigate real-world fraud detection, financial analysis, and litigation support with precision and practical insight. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between proven forensic accounting practice and innovative AI solutions, making a tangible impact on the future of investigative technology.

Commitment: 10 hours/week | Pay: $75 - $150/hr | Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality forensic accounting questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as fraud detection, financial statement analysis, asset tracing, damages calculations, interviewing techniques, evidence gathering, expert report writing, and more.
  • Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to forensic accounting standards and investigative best practices.
  • Collaborate with a team of forensic and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in forensic accounting, fraud examination, or litigation support with a robust understanding of investigative techniques and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multiple years of forensic accounting experience, ideally across diverse case types (fraud investigations, economic damages, expert witness testimony, bankruptcy, etc.).
  • Prior involvement in forensic training, professional associations, or investigative technology initiatives.
  • CPA license, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics), or master's degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI or technology-driven investigative applications is a plus.
