About the Role
What if your civil engineering experience could shape how AI guides thousands of engineers through their careers? We're looking for experienced Civil Engineers in the Toronto area to help train, evaluate, and improve next-generation AI career guidance systems — ensuring the advice they provide is accurate, practical, and grounded in the realities of the Canadian engineering profession.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to experienced engineers across civil disciplines. No AI background required.

What You'll Do
- Review career-related questions from engineering professionals at a range of career stages
- Write high-quality "golden answers" that reflect expert-level career guidance within civil engineering
- Build objective evaluation rubrics used to assess the quality of AI-generated career advice
- Identify inaccurate, unrealistic, or incomplete recommendations produced by AI systems
- Contribute your real-world knowledge of Canadian engineering practice to improve AI career coaching
- Work independently and asynchronously — on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Experienced Civil Engineer with substantial professional tenure in Canada
- Strong understanding of engineering career progression, project delivery, and Canadian industry standards
- Background in infrastructure, transportation, structural, water resources, or construction management
- Strong written communication skills in English — you can translate experience into clear, actionable guidance
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- No prior AI or tech experience required
Nice to Have
- P.Eng. designation (Professional Engineer) — Ontario licensure through PEO a plus
- Experience with Metrolinx, City of Toronto, MTO, or major Ontario infrastructure programs
- Project management experience or PMP credentials
- Experience mentoring EITs or junior engineers through the P.Eng. licensing process
- Familiarity with Canadian environmental assessment or public infrastructure procurement processes
