CAD Design Expert

Remote, project-based role for experienced CAD professionals. Flexible hours, competitive pay, and a variety of modeling and design tasks.

This is a remote, project-based role for CAD professionals with hands-on experience in 3D modeling and technical drafting. You will complete a variety of modeling, drafting, and design-review tasks, assigned on a project-by-project basis. Work is asynchronous and flexible, with an expected commitment of 10-20 hours per week for the projects you accept. Specific project details are shared with accepted experts. This position offers exceptional pay, flexible scheduling, and a strong addition to your professional portfolio.

Commitment: 20 hours/week | Pay: $75 - $100/hr | Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of CAD modeling and design tasks on a project-by-project basis
• Produce models and drawings to professional standards
• Review and evaluate existing designs for quality and completeness
• Document your work clearly and reproducibly

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience in CAD design, drafting, or mechanical/product design
• Strong proficiency in at least one major CAD platform (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, CATIA, NX, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to produce clean, well-structured models and drawings to professional standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on technical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across multiple CAD platforms
• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes
• Degree in engineering, design technology, or equivalent professional experience
