Biomedical Engineer Expert

AfterQuery partners with frontier AI labs to build expert-level evaluation and training data. We are hiring biomedical engineers as contractors to review, create, and rank technical content that teaches AI models how real medical device and biomedical engineering work is done. You will evaluate AI-generated device design, biomechanics, biomaterials, imaging, and regulatory submission content for technical accuracy, and create expert demonstrations drawn from your own practice. The work is paid hourly, fully remote, and fully async - you choose when and how much you work.

Commitment: 10 hours/week | Pay: $75 - $140/hr | Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated device design and biomedical analysis for technical accuracy
• Create expert demonstrations of design controls, verification, and validation workflows
• Rank and label model responses against biomedical engineering standards

Required Qualifications

• Degree in biomedical engineering or a closely related engineering field
• 2+ years of professional biomedical engineering or medical device experience
• Strong written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD in biomedical engineering
• Experience with FDA 510(k), PMA, ISO 13485, or IEC 60601 work
• Depth in one area such as biomechanics, biomaterials, imaging, or instrumentation
