About this opportunity
We are hiring a Benchmark Engineer to define how performance is measured across a high performance AI infrastructure platform used for semantic search, recommendation engines, and large scale RAG pipelines.
This role sits at the intersection of distributed systems engineering and technical credibility. You will design realistic benchmarks that reflect real world workloads and evaluate system performance across latency, throughput, recall, memory usage, and cost.
You will work closely with core engineers to detect regressions, uncover bottlenecks, and shape optimisation strategies. You will also run fair comparisons against alternative solutions and translate raw performance data into clear technical insights used across engineering, documentation, and external technical content.
This is a highly technical role for engineers who enjoy understanding how systems behave under pressure and communicating those insights clearly.
