About DataLens Africa

At DataLens Africa, we build the high-quality language data that teaches AI to read, write, reason, and respond in African languages. We work with machine learning researchers, global health organisations, telcos, and foundation model companies who need data that reflects how people actually speak.

Your Role

As an Africa Language AI Specialist, you'll earn by putting your native or fluent language knowledge to work, no prior tech experience required.

• Create, translate, and transcribe text in the African language(s) you're fluent in
• Rate and rank AI model responses to help models learn what "good" sounds like in your language
• Review and validate content for accuracy, tone, and cultural context
• Flag the nuances — idioms, dialect, context — that AI systems routinely miss
• (For experienced specialists) Quality-check the work of other contributors

What We're Looking For

• Native or fluent speaker of one or more supported African languages
• Strong reading and writing ability in that language
• Access to a computer or smartphone with internet
• Attention to detail and willingness to follow guidelines
• No prior AI or tech experience needed — we train you
